Nine functional departments and four projects bring LES initiatives from early planning to final delivery.
The Functional Backbone of LES
The nine departments of LES provide the specialist work that keeps the society moving. From finance and operations to communications, partnerships, events and technology, each department supports society-wide priorities and contributes to the delivery of all four projects.
Managers work within these departments, taking responsibility for defined areas of execution while collaborating with the Project Board and other departmental teams. Through this work, they develop practical skills, contribute to major initiatives and gain experience working in a student-led organisation.
LES’s four projects are responsible for shaping their respective areas of work and delivering their major initiatives. The Project Board is not open for direct manager applications. Managers contribute to the successful execution of these projects through their respective departments by supporting planning, operations, outreach, marketing, finance, logistics, media, and other departmental responsibilities.
The Young Leaders’ & Entrepreneurs’ Summit is the flagship event of LES and will host its 21st edition this December. With a mix of competitive rounds, socials, and networking opportunities, YLES has positioned itself as the premier entrepreneurial summit across South Asia, hosting thousands of delegates over the years. With YLES Masterclass, Registration Drives, YLES Week, and many other milestone events leading up to the summit itself, it ensures an experience for attending delegates that is incomparable to any such event across the region.

Initiate Consulting
Initiate Consulting is the student-run consultancy of LES, connecting student teams with corporations and startups through three verticals. Corporate Engagements provides external organisations with consulting services, while Case in Point explores business, consulting and entrepreneurship through a dedicated publication. Its flagship event, Ideation Academy, gives teams the opportunity to develop and pitch their unique business ideas to venture capitalists and entrepreneurs for the opportunity to win cash prizes and further growth avenues.
The Social Outreach Program is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship in communities that are often overlooked. Through structured learning and hands-on initiatives, it aims to create accessible and systematic entrepreneurial education that empowers individuals with practical knowledge and skills. Its key initiatives include the Shaur Internship, SOP Chapter, Saath Saath Workshops and SOP Workshops.
