Department overview
The Human Resources department builds an inclusive, engaged and well-supported LES community. It keeps members connected throughout the year through meetings, trips, social activities and recognition systems while working to ensure that every member feels valued, heard and safe.
Key responsibilities for incoming managers
- Host and manage General Body Meetings, record attendance and encourage member participation.
- Plan engagement initiatives, including themed meetings, society trips, HR Week and cross-departmental hangouts.
- Check in with members, monitor morale and foster an inclusive General Body.
- Manage society communication channels, including WhatsApp groups and important member updates.
- Maintain Karma Points, attendance records, surveys, feedback systems and member data using Excel and CSV files.
- Uphold the harassment policy, promote reporting channels and assist with YLES moderator recruitment and moderation.
